The band Vrba (The Willow) was founded at the end of the year 2018 in a cozy pub in České Budějovice. The repertoire of the band in the first year of existence evolved into its current shape, which is a mix of European folk music and medieval melodies.
Our texts are inspired by folklore and legends. We like to experiment and we are not afraid of unusual and original arrangements. In our music you can hear elements of dark northern ballads, medieval compositions, nimble traditional melodies from Ireland and Scotland or Oriental tunes of Jewish and eastern music.
